Tourist
You know as much about Estonia as the first chapter of a guidebook.
This page describes one possible result of the quiz How well do you know Estonia?
What this means
Zero to three out of ten is a perfectly normal start, because many of the questions are ones Estonians themselves get wrong. The longest river is not the Emajõgi but the Võhandu. The largest lake lying entirely within Estonia is Võrtsjärv, because Lake Peipus is shared with Russia. The national bird is the barn swallow, not the stork.
You probably got the easier ones, such as the capital or the colours of the flag. Dates, place names and literature are where it gets harder.
The bank holds more than 370 questions and each game draws ten, so next time some will be new and some familiar. Look over the answers and try again: people who play a few rounds usually move up a level quickly.
About the quiz: How well do you know Estonia?
Ten questions on Estonian geography, history, language, culture and symbols, drawn at random from a bank of more than 370, so every game is different. You have 10 seconds per question.
Some are easy, some are trick questions that locals get wrong too. You see right away whether you were correct, and a summary at the end. Play alone or with friends, up to 50 players in one game.
How this quiz works
The questions were written by the KahurQuiz editors and fact-checked against the Estonian Encyclopaedia, Statistics Estonia and the Estonian Environment Agency. Questions without a single certain answer are not in the bank.
Each game draws 10 questions at random. Each correct answer scores one point: 0–3 Tourist, 4–7 Local and 8–10 Estonia expert. On the leaderboard, more correct answers rank higher; on a tie, the faster player ranks higher.
