How it works?
Electricity prices in Estonia follow the Nord Pool day-ahead market. Since 1 October 2025 a separate price is set for every 15 minutes; the next day's prices are published around 14:00 Estonian time.
Prices are in c/kWh (euro cents per kilowatt-hour), VAT included. The data comes from Elering's public API for the bidding zone you choose (Estonia, EE, by default). Each hour shown here is the average of its four 15-minute prices, and the day average covers every 15-minute period of the day. A single quarter-hour can be cheaper or dearer than its hour's average.
Price levels are classified based on today's price distribution: the bottom 20% are "very cheap", and the top 20% are "very expensive". This is a relative measure - on a generally expensive day, "cheap" still means cheaper than most hours that day.
The cheapest window calculation uses a sliding-window algorithm to find the consecutive N hours with the lowest average price - useful for appliances that run for multiple hours.
