Owl
Awake while others sleep, and seeing what others look straight past.
This page describes one possible result of the quiz Which Estonian wild animal are you?
What this means
At eleven at night you are the smartest person in the house; at eight in the morning you are barely alive. You know the Latin names of mushrooms, read the whole group chat before forming an opinion, and if someone knocks at midnight you were up anyway and the kettle is already on. You do not say much, but what you say has been thought through.
About ten owl species nest in Estonia. The most common is the tawny owl, whose hoot can be heard even in Tallinn's parks, and the largest is the eagle owl, which has become quite rare. An owl's flight is almost silent because the edges of its feathers are soft, and it turns its head about three quarters of a circle because its eyes cannot move in their sockets. Owls can hear a mouse under the snow.
Your weak spot: morning meetings and people who want a quick answer. You get on best with the lynx, who also wakes at dusk and does not try to make you sociable.
About the quiz: Which Estonian wild animal are you?
Twelve everyday situations, Estonian edition: a Friday night, the midsummer bonfire, the first snow, a hot sauna. Pick the answer that is most like you and find out which of eight Estonian wild animals you are.
Takes about three minutes. The result comes with a few real facts about your animal and a link you can share.
How this quiz works
The quiz has 12 questions with four answers each. Every answer gives two points to one animal and one point to another, so no answer is right or wrong. At the end the points for each animal are added up and your result is the animal with the most. If two animals tie, the one earlier in the list wins: lynx, wolf, bear, elk, fox, beaver, owl, hedgehog.
The questions and animal profiles were written by the kahur.ee editors, and the facts about the animals were checked against the Estonian Environment Agency and Estonian natural history sources. This quiz is entertainment, not a personality study: it does not measure character, predicts nothing and has no psychological model behind it. If the result feels wrong, answer honestly once more, or accept that you are a little more fox than you thought.
